Logo design for a Moroccan primary school

Bilingual logo design for a Moroccan primary school

Al 3ounwane is a new primary school in Kénitra, Morocco that needed an identity that would attract students and interest parents to their community-based approach. In Arabic, Al 3ounwane means "the address," or "the place to be." Rendered in both Latin and Arabic characters, the logo uses geometric patterns informed by the traditional culture of the region to create an easily replicable icon showing a journey to a central point. The Latin letterforms are heavily customized forms based on the font Moby, by Floodfonts. The Arabic letterforms are entirely hand-rendered, informed by the characteristics of the Latin forms.
