Reboot helped The World Bank and InfoDev understand how technology would influence governance, economic development, and social cohesion in Tunisia after the revolution that sparked the Arab Spring. As a team of two designers, we translated the research and findings into a 120-page book and microsite that transformed the visual expectations and communications strategy for all of Reboot’s future research reports. More reminiscent of magazine and photojournalism design than the traditional policy whitepaper format, the report visualizes research data through infographics, tells compelling human stories through personas and case studies, and connects policy recommendations to research context through guiding, structured editorial design.
